Insertion Density Meter is an automated measuring instrument for on-line measurement of the density of liquids or liquid mixtures.
Differential pressure transmitter principle:
This type of density meter is essentially a differential pressure transmitter. Its working principle is based on a certain height of the column of liquid pressure and the density of the liquid is proportional to the relationship, that is, P = ρgh (P for the column of pressure, ρ for the density of the liquid, g for the acceleration of gravity, h for the height of the column). By measuring the pressure value of the pressure gauge, the density value of the measured liquid can be calculated under the condition that the acceleration of gravity and the height of the liquid column are known.
The tuning fork vibration principle:
Another common insertion type density meter uses the tuning fork vibration principle to measure the density of the liquid. The tuning fork is inserted into the measured liquid, the vibration frequency of the tuning fork is inversely proportional to the density of the liquid. By detecting the vibration frequency of the tuning fork, the density of the liquid can be calculated. This method has the advantages of high precision, good stability, simple operation and easy maintenance.
